Founder & House Father
"I looked into the eyes of a child with no one to call family, and I heard God whisper, 'You be their brother.' That moment changed everything."
Brother Syrus Jjuuko's journey began in a small village in central Uganda. At just 18 years old, he tragically lost his father to COVID-19 in 2019. He knew firsthand the pain of losing a parent at a young age. But through the kindness of strangers who helped him along the way, his faith was strengthened.
"I promised God that if He blessed me, I would become a blessing to children like me," Brother Syrus recalls. In 2023, at just 22 years old, he officially founded TrustinGod Children Ministry. Today, together with his team, he cares for 25 children as their own brother and father figure.
God's hand has guided Brother Syrus's life through every season.
Syrus Jjuuko was born in Uganda in 2001. He grew up in a humble family environment that shaped his resilience and strength from an early age.
In 2019, Syrus tragically lost his Father to COVID-19. This life-changing moment left him without father's support at a very young age.
Following the loss of his Father, Syrus survived on the streets for several years. These difficult experiences built compassion in his heart for vulnerable children.
Syrus began working in a factory to rebuild his life. During this time, he would pass by children in need and share whatever little he had with them.
His burden for vulnerable children grew stronger, and he began intentionally reaching out, supporting, and gathering children who needed care and guidance. This is when he founded "TrustInGod Children Ministry"
To date, Syrus serves as a father figure to 25 children, providing them with shelter, education, love, and a renewed sense of hope for the future.
"Dear friend,
I never imagined that the young man who lost his father at 18 would one day become a father figure to 25 children. But God's plans are greater than ours.
Every morning when I hear the children laugh, pray, and feel loved, I am reminded that love can heal the deepest wounds. These children are not orphans — they are my brothers and sisters, my sons and daughters.
But I cannot do this alone. The food they eat, the uniforms they wear, the school fees we pay — all come from God's provision through people like you.
Would you consider partnering with us? Whether through sponsorship, donation, or prayer, you become part of their story. You become family.
With gratitude,
Brother Syrus Jjuuko
Founder, TrustinGod Children Ministry
A world where every child, regardless of their circumstances, grows up safe, educated, healthy, and empowered to reach their full potential.
To provide vulnerable children with food, clean water, shelter, education, healthcare, and emotional support, empowering them to overcome adversity and build independent, dignified lives.
"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress." — James 1:27
Brother Syrus cannot do this alone. By sponsoring a child or making a donation, you become part of the family that is raising these children.
